Hazing means any act taken on University property or in connection with any University-related group or activity that endangers the mental or physical health or safety of an individual (including, without limitation, an act intended to cause personal degradation or humiliation), or that destroys or removes public or private property, for the purpose of initiation in, admission to, affiliation with, or as a condition for continued membership in a group or organization.
Hazing by any member of the University community is prohibited at the University of Minnesota. Hazing is prohibited whenever it occurs on University premises or in connection with any University affiliated group or activity.
This form was created for University of Minnesota students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and community members to report incidents that are detrimental to students involved in student groups, fraternities and sororities, athletics, or other departmental groups. In addition to submitting this form, individuals may report concerns about suspected hazing activities to the following University of Minnesota offices:
